ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Spinal manipulation

Spinal manipulation is when a doctor or therapist helps move the bones in your back to help you feel better. It's kind of like when you have a really tight knot in your shoelaces and your mom or dad helps you untie it.

Your spine is made up of lots of little bones called vertebrae. Sometimes, these vertebrae can move out of place and it can make your back hurt. When you go to a doctor or therapist for spinal manipulation, they carefully use their hands to move those vertebrae back into their right place.

Spinal manipulation can help with things like back pain, neck pain, headaches, and even some problems with your arms and legs. It's important to see a doctor or therapist who has been trained in spinal manipulation so they can do it safely and make sure it helps you feel better.
