Stannary court

Stannary Court is like a special court for a certain group of people called tin miners. These tin miners lived in an area in England called Cornwall a long time ago. They had a big job of digging tin out of the ground and selling it.

To help them do their job, the tin miners had their own set of rules and laws. These laws were different from the regular laws that people followed in England. So, they needed their own special court to help them follow these rules and make sure everyone was doing their job fairly.

The Stannary Court was like a special judge or group of judges who would listen to what the tin miners had to say if there was a problem. Then they would make a decision and help to solve the problem in a fair way.

Nowadays, we don't really have Stannary Courts anymore because tin mining isn't as big of a job as it used to be in Cornwall. But it's still important to remember how these tin miners had their own special rules and were able to use the Stannary Court to help them work together and solve problems.
