Stole (vestment)

Okay, so you know how sometimes when we go to a fancy party or ceremony, we wear nice clothes like dresses and suits? Well, some people who work in really special places like churches also wear special clothes called vestments when they are doing important things like leading a service or saying prayers.

One of those vestments is called a stole. It's a long, skinny piece of cloth that they wear around their neck and it hangs down in front of them. Sometimes it has pretty designs on it.

Now, sometimes people can do bad things and steal things that don't belong to them. And unfortunately, sometimes people steal these special vestments, including the stole. This is very wrong and hurts the people who use the vestments in their important work.

But don't worry, when this happens the police try to find the person who stole the vestment and get it back so that the person who needs it can continue their important work. And we know that it's wrong to take things that belong to someone else, so we should always respect other people's belongings and treat them how we would want to be treated.
