Streetcar suburb

A streetcar suburb is a type of neighbourhood that was popular in the late 1800s and early 1900s. This type of neighbourhood was built around a streetcar line, meaning that people could easily take the streetcar to get to the city or other parts of town. The houses were usually smaller and close together, and there were parks, shops, and other amenities nearby. Since the houses were close together and the streets were laid out in a grid, the neighbourhoods were safer and easier to get around than other neighbourhoods in those days.
