Swift trust theory

Swift Trust Theory is about how you can build trust quickly with someone else. It is based on six steps: express understanding, demonstrate respect, extend trust, invite experimentation, accept influence and foster connection.

Expressing understanding means you really try to understand what the other person is saying. You listen to their thoughts, feelings and ideas and try to understand where they are coming from.

Demonstrating respect means you treat the other person with kindness and respect, even if you disagree with them.

Extending trust means you are willing to take a risk and trust what the other person is saying. You give them the benefit of the doubt and don't have to know all the answers right away.

Inviting experimentation means you are open to trying something new. You can be open-minded and flexible when it comes to trying something new or different.

Accepting influence means you are open to being influenced by the other person. This can be anything from a suggestion on how to do something or a change in your plans.

Finally, fostering connection means you are trying to build a connection with the other person. You may talk about mutual interests or activities or find ways to connect with each other on a deeper level.

Overall, swift trust theory is all about building relationships quickly and easily by listening, respecting, trusting, experimenting, influencing and connecting with each other.
