ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Switched mesh

Switched mesh is a type of computer network that uses switches to connect different devices called "nodes" together. A switch is a special device that can connect multiple devices together so they can communicate with each other. Each node in a switched mesh network is connected to two other nodes using two separate switches. This type of network allows data to be sent quickly between any of the connected devices as it takes the shortest route to its destination. In a switched mesh network, if one of the nodes has a problem, like a broken switch, then the traffic can easily flow through the other switches to reach the other nodes.
