Synchronization (computer science)

Synchronization means making sure two or more things match up or work together. In computer science, synchronization is used to make sure computers, devices, or programs are working together in the same way. For example, a program might have different parts working together. To make sure they're all working in sync, synchronization is used. Synchronization can also be used to make sure multiple people have the same information. For example, if you are playing a game with your friends, synchronization can be used to make sure that everyone's game looks the same.
