Once upon a time, there was a girl named the Weaver Girl and a boy named the Cowherd. They lived in a big, vast land filled with stars and galaxies. The Weaver Girl was very skilled at weaving beautiful tapestries while the Cowherd was excellent at taking care of cows and other animals.
One day, the Weaver Girl and the Cowherd met while crossing a bridge. They instantly fell in love and started to meet with each other secretly. They would talk and spend time together for hours.
However, the day soon came when the King of Heaven found out about their secret love. He was angry because the Weaver Girl was supposed to be busy weaving tapestries for the gods. So, he separated the two lovers by putting them on opposite sides of the Milky Way galaxy. The King decreed that they could only meet once a year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month.
The Weaver Girl and the Cowherd were heartbroken. They missed each other terribly and longed for their next encounter. Finally, the seventh day of the seventh lunar month arrived and the two lovers were reunited on the bridge over the Milky Way. They spent a joyful day together, but sadly, the day came to an end and they were forced to part ways again.
From that year onwards, the Weaver Girl and the Cowherd would spend a beautiful summer day every year together. Many people on Earth saw them and celebrated their love story. Through this story, people learned that love, even if it's hard, will last with strong commitment and care.
