Tibetan diaspora

Okay kiddo, let me explain. Do you know what "diaspora" means? It means when a group of people who belong to the same culture, language or country have to leave their homes and go live in different parts of the world.

Now, in Tibetan diaspora, it means when people from Tibet have had to leave their country and go live in different parts of the world because of some problems. Tibet is a country that is right next to China. The Chinese government took control of Tibet in 1950, and many Tibetans didn't like that. They wanted their own country and their own government, but that wasn't allowed.

So, many Tibetans had to leave their home and go live in other countries like India, Nepal, Bhutan, and the United States. In fact, there are now more Tibetans living outside of Tibet than inside! When they left Tibet, they carried with them their culture, language, religion, and traditions.

The Tibetan diaspora means that the Tibetans have spread all over the world, but they still have a strong sense of identity and community. They have set up schools, cultural centers, and even governments in exile to keep their culture alive. The Tibetan diaspora is an important part of Tibetan history as it shows how strong and resilient they are as a people.
