Timecode is like a clock that is used to store information in a video or movie. It is a way to accurately measure where something is happening in the video. For example, if you wanted to get to a spot that is 2 minutes and 30 seconds into a movie, you would use the timecode to say 2 minutes and 30 seconds. The timecode is made up of four numbers, usually written like this: 00:02:30. The first two numbers (00) represent how many hours the video or movie has been playing for. The next two numbers (02) represent how many minutes it has been playing for. Finally, the last two numbers (30) represent how many seconds it has been going for.
