Timeline of transportation technology

Transportation technology tells us how people, goods, and services have gotten around throughout history. It is a timeline of how different types of transportation have been developed and improved over the years.

It starts way back in prehistoric times, when people and animals had to carry things themselves or use carts pulled by animals. Later, we invented boats, which allowed us to travel over water, and wheeled vehicles that could be pulled by horses. As time went on, cars, planes, and trains were invented and improved to help us get around faster and more efficiently.

Today, transportation technology is continuing to change and improve. Self-driving cars and automated delivery robots are being developed, as well as electric cars and even spacecraft, which would allow us to travel to space!
