Tmesis

Tmesis is when you split a word in half and put another word in between the two halves. Imagine you have the word "lollipop." You can split it in half and say "lolli-pop" instead, with the word "pop" in between the two halves. This is tmesis! It's a fun way to play with words and make them sound different. But remember, it's important to only use tmesis in a playful or poetic way, and not to confuse people when you're trying to communicate clearly.
