Tower of Jericho

The Tower of Jericho was a really tall building that was built a long, long time ago in a place called Jericho. People wanted to make this tower as tall as they could because they thought it would make them special and important.

Imagine building a tower with blocks of Legos. You can keep adding more Legos to make it taller and taller. The people building the Tower of Jericho did the same thing, except they used big blocks of rocks instead of Legos.

The tower was so tall that it reached all the way up to the sky! Well, not really, but it was really high up. So high that the people who built it probably thought they could touch the sky.

But building such a tall tower wasn't easy, and they had to work really hard. They had to climb up and down the tower to put the rocks in place, and sometimes they even needed cranes to help them lift the heavy rocks.

Even though they worked really hard, they weren't able to finish building the Tower of Jericho. One day, something strange happened. The tower started to shake and rumble, and the ground shook too! The people were scared, and soon the tower came tumbling down.

It turns out that building a tower that tall wasn't such a good idea after all. The people couldn't finish building it, and they never got to be as important or special as they wanted to be. They learned that sometimes, it's not about how high you go, but about how hard you work and how much you learn along the way.
