Transcendentalism

Transcendentalism is a type of philosophy. It's about looking for meaning and understanding in the natural world and being close to nature. Transcendentalists believed that humans were inherently good and that everyone should trust their own intuition and experiences. They thought that looking closely at nature could help them to find spiritual truth and knowledge that could not be found in books or by following traditional religious beliefs.
