Transgenesis

Transgenesis is a scientific process which involves adding genes from one organism into the genetic code of another. It is a way of creating organisms with certain traits or features that may not naturally occur together. For example, a scientist could add a gene from a firefly into a corn plant which could make the corn light up during the night like a firefly. Transgenesis can be done with plants, animals, bacteria, and fungi.
