The Tree of Life is a way to look at all the living things on Earth. All living things are related to each other in some way and the Tree of Life helps us to understand how they are related.
The Tree of Life looks like a real tree with branches and twigs that reach out from its trunk. At the very top of the tree is a single life form, like a single cell or an ancient ancestor that lived a long time ago. Then, branches come out from this single life form and reach out to other life forms. These branches and twigs eventually reach out to all the different kinds of living things on our planet, like plants, animals, and even humans.
The Tree of Life helps us to understand how all living things are related. It shows us that even though we are all different, in some ways, we are all connected.
