Trikaranasuddhi is a fancy way of saying "cleansing of the three channels" in our body. Imagine your body has three pipes, one for your body and your energy, one for your breath and one for your thoughts. Just like how you wash the dishes with soap and water to remove dirt and germs, trikaranasuddhi is like washing the three pipes of our body to remove any impurities or blockages.
Firstly, we start by sitting straight and taking some deep breaths. This helps to loosen up any tension in our body and make it easier to do the cleansing. Then, we close our eyes and focus on our breath, feeling the air moving in and out of our body.
Next, we visualize a clean and clear path running straight through our body from the top of our head to the base of our spine. This is the path for our energy or life force to flow. We imagine this path getting wider and clearer with each inhale and exhale, like a river flowing smoothly downstream.
Then, we focus on the second pipe which is connected to our breath. We imagine a clear and clean path running from our nostrils to our lungs. This is the path for our breath. We visualize this path getting wider and clearer with each inhale and exhale, bringing fresh air into our body and removing stale air.
Finally, we focus on the third pipe which is connected to our thoughts. We imagine a clear and clean path running from our forehead to the center of our heart. This is the path for our thoughts. We visualize this path getting wider and clearer with each inhale and exhale, allowing positive and peaceful thoughts to flow through us.
As we cleanse each of the three pipes, we feel lighter, more focused and peaceful. This practice is an ancient and powerful technique used in yoga and meditation to help us maintain good health and inner balance.
