Turbojet

A turbojet is a type of jet engine. It works like a big fan. It sucks in air at the front and then blows it out the back. Inside the engine, the air is compressed and mixed with fuel before being burned to release a lot of energy. That energy spins a turbine which drives the fan to create thrust, which means it pushes the airplane forward.
