Okay kiddo, so you know how there are lots of different languages in the world, right? Well, some of these languages belong to a group of languages called Turkic languages.
Turkic languages are spoken by people in countries like Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. In fact, there are over 30 million people who speak Turkic languages!
Even though these languages are different, they all have some things in common. For example, many Turkic languages have a vowel sound that sounds like "oo" and a sound that's kind of like "ch" or "sh".
Some words in Turkic languages might sound familiar to you, like the word "kumis" which means fermented horse milk in Kazakh. But there are also lots of words that might seem very different, like "tazı" which means "hound" in Turkish or "kök" which means "blue" in Kyrgyz.
So, to sum it up, Turkic languages are a group of languages that are spoken by millions of people in different countries and they have some things in common, like similar sounds and grammar.
