Turn (geometry)

A turn is when something moves in a different direction. Imagine you are walking straight and then turn to the right - that is a turn! In geometry, a turn is when an object rotates around a point, like a merry-go-round spinning in a circle. When we talk about turns, we use degrees to measure how much the object has rotated. So, just like a circle has 360 degrees, a full turn is also 360 degrees. When an object turns more than halfway around, it is called a "complete turn." Overall, a turn is just when something moves in a different direction and we use degrees to measure it.
