Unholy alliance (geopolitical)

An "unholy alliance" is like when two people or groups who don't usually get along decide to work together, even if they don't really like each other or agree on everything. It can happen between countries or political parties, for example. It's called "unholy" because it's not a normal or good relationship, and it might not last very long. Sometimes people make these alliances because they have a common enemy, sometimes because they want to get something they both want. But even if they work together for some time, eventually they might turn against each other again, or just go their separate ways.
