Axis of Evil is a term used to describe countries that are seen as threats to peace and security. The term was first used by former US President George W. Bush in 2002 to refer to Iraq, Iran and North Korea. These countries had all been accused of supporting terrorism, and were seen by Bush as the biggest dangers in the world. Since then, other countries have been added to the Axis of Evil, including Syria and Sudan. The idea is that these countries are a danger to the world, and need to be stopped.
