ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Unmoved mover

An unmoved mover is an idea that means something that doesn't need to get pushed to move. It's like if you wanted to get a ball to move, you'd have to push it, but an unmoved mover moves all by itself. This idea comes from philosophy, which is a way of thinking about complicated questions and ideas. Philosophical thinkers (like Aristotle!) believed that something must exist to get things going and to make everything else work. This "something" was called an unmoved mover, and it's a way to explain something we don't completely understand. It's like a way of giving things a reason for happening, even when there might not seem to be a reason.
