ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Unsinkable aircraft carrier

Okay, so imagine you're playing with your favorite toy, a big toy ship or an airplane. Now, what if I told you that there is a big real-life ship that can carry planes that is so strong and big that nothing can make it sink? That's what an unsinkable aircraft carrier is!

It's called that because it's a ship that can carry a lot of airplanes, called an aircraft carrier. But what makes it "unsinkable" is that it's made with special materials and designs that make it really strong and durable. So even if it gets hit by something like a bomb or a missile, it won't sink.

The unsinkable aircraft carrier is usually made of a tough metal called steel. Engineers make sure the steel is really thick, which means it's really hard for anything to break through it. They also design the carrier with a special shape that makes it hard to tip over, even in rough seas.

Now, when it's time for the carrier to carry planes, it has a special flat deck on top where the planes can land and take off from. This means that the aircraft carrier can bring planes really close to places where they're needed, like in a war.

So, that's what an unsinkable aircraft carrier is. It's a super strong ship that carries planes and is very difficult to sink!
