Urban geography

Urban geography is an area of study that looks at cities and towns. It explores the physical characteristics of cities and towns – like the buildings, population size, and roads – as well as the behaviors, activities, and cultures that people participate in when living in these areas. Urban geography gets very detailed in looking at the impact of things like transportation systems and businesses on people's lives. It also looks at the environment of cities and how people interact with it. Urban geography can help explain why cities may be different from each other and can help us figure out how to make them better places to live in.
