Vacuum pump

Do you know when you are eating a lollipop and you suck really hard so that you get all the juice from the center? A vacuum pump is something that works kind of the same way. It is a special machine that helps suck all the air out of a container, kind of like when you suck all the juice out of the lollipop to make it easier to get to the yummy center.

When we say it sucks out all the air, it means that it takes away all the air inside the container so that there's nothing left. This can be really useful for lots of things, like when a doctor needs to get rid of air from inside your body or when scientists need to remove all the air from a container to see what's inside.

A vacuum pump works by taking the air or gas away from the container by creating suction, like a vacuum cleaner. It does this by using a fan or pump to move air from the container, creating low pressure. This low pressure makes the air molecules move farther apart, leaving a vacuum, which is an empty space with no air.

So, just like when you suck on a lollipop, a vacuum pump helps suck all the air out of a container using a special machine. This makes it easier to do lots of things, like removing air from inside your body or examining what's inside a container.
