A long time ago, a group of very important people wanted to build a special place to worship and pray to God. They thought it would be great to build it in Valencia, which is a city in Spain. So they got together and decided to build a cathedral – that's what we call a special type of church that's really big and important.

It took a really long time to build the cathedral, almost 200 years in fact! They had to use lots of different materials like stone, marble, and glass to make it look really beautiful. And because it's so old, it has lots of stories to tell about the people who built it and the things that have happened there over the years.

Nowadays, lots of people go to the Valencia Cathedral to see the beautiful stained glass windows, which are like big, colorful pictures made of glass. They also go to see the paintings and sculptures of saints and other important people in the church. And some people even go to hear the organ being played!

So that's what Valencia Cathedral is – a really big and important church in Spain where people can go to worship, learn about history, and see lots of amazing art.
