Vector control (motor)

Vector control (motor) is a method of controlling the speed and torque of an electric motor. It involves using sophisticated computer algorithms to control the motor's power, and therefore its speed, through the use of electronic signals. This is done by feeding the motor's signals back to the controller, and adjusting the amount of power the motor receives based on what the signals say. This allows for much more precise control than traditional methods, which usually only rely on adjusting the voltage or current going to the motor. Vector control makes electric motors much more efficient and makes them easier to control.
