Veneration of the saints

Okay kiddo, so veneration of the saints is when we show a lot of respect and love towards people who have already died but who we believe were really special and close to God when they were alive.

These special people are called saints, and we believe that they can help us get closer to God and make our lives better if we ask them nicely. We might pray to them, light candles for them, and visit their graves or statues.

It's kind of like having a really cool big brother or sister who you look up to and ask for advice, but these saintly big brothers and sisters are even cooler because they can ask God to help us out too!

So veneration of the saints is all about showing love and respect to these special people and asking them to pray for us and help us be closer to God.
