Ventifacts are rocks that have been shaped by the wind. You know how when you blow on something, like a piece of paper or a feather, it moves around? Well, imagine the wind blowing really strong for a really long time. It can blow small particles like sand and rocks around and these particles can scratch and wear away at bigger rocks. Eventually, the bigger rocks can have funny shapes like they were carved by the wind. These funny shaped rocks are called ventifacts! They are often found in very windy places like deserts or on mountain tops.
