ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Visual perception

Visual Perception is our ability to take in the information we see around us. Every time you look at something, like a tree or a person's face, your eyes take in the different parts of the image (like the leaves on a tree or the eyes and nose on a face). It is then up to your brain to interpret what exactly it is that you are seeing. The brain then uses its Visual Perception to take the image and recognize it for what it really is.
