Vitalism

Vitalism is a way of thinking that says living things have some kind of special energy or force inside them that can't be explained by science. This special force sometimes gets called "vital energy," because it makes the body alive and helps it grow and move. It's like a kind of special spark inside us that makes us alive. Scientists don't believe in vitalism, because they think that living things can be explained by scientific explanations like biology and chemistry.
