Voltage drop

Voltage drop is like a water pipe. When you have a water pipe there is a certain amount of water pressure. As the water travels through the pipe, the pressure starts to drop. This same effect happens with electricity.
Voltage is like the water pressure - it is the amount of electrical energy pushing through the wire. The metal inside the wire acts like a pipe. As the electricity flows through it, the voltage starts to drop. This is called voltage drop.
