Volume source pollution is when a large amount of pollution is released into the air in a very short period of time. For example, a factory may release a lot of smoke into the air in a few minutes. This kind of pollution can quickly fill the air with harmful particles that can be breathed in by people and animals. These particles can harm our lungs and make us sick.
