Vulnerable Narcissism

Vulnerable narcissism is when someone thinks very highly of themselves but secretly feels insecure and fragile inside. It's like when a kid puts on a brave face even though they're scared on the inside.

Just like how some kids will lash out or cry when they feel scared or insecure, people with vulnerable narcissism will often do things to protect their ego or self-esteem. They might put other people down to make themselves feel better or constantly seek reassurance and attention from others.

Sometimes people with vulnerable narcissism will avoid situations that make them feel insecure or anxious because they don't want to risk damaging their already fragile self-esteem. It's like how a kid might avoid a certain game or situation because it makes them too scared or nervous.

Although it can be difficult to deal with someone who has vulnerable narcissism, it's important to remember that they may be feeling really vulnerable and insecure inside. It's not just about being selfish or overly confident.
