ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Weak pronoun

A weak pronoun is a word that is used instead of a noun to talk about something or someone that has already been mentioned before. It's like using a shortcut instead of saying the whole thing over and over again. For example, instead of saying "Elizabeth went to the store and Elizabeth bought a candy bar," we can use the weak pronoun "she" and say "Elizabeth went to the store and she bought a candy bar." The weak pronoun "she" helps us avoid repeating the name "Elizabeth" again and again. We use weak pronouns all the time in our everyday conversations to make our language simpler and more efficient.
