ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Whuffie

Whuffie is like points or tokens that you get for being a good person or doing something nice for someone else.

Let's say that you help your friend carry their heavy backpack home from school. Your friend might give you some whuffie as a way of saying thank you! This whuffie doesn't have any actual value like money, but it's still nice to receive because it tells you that you did something good.

Other people might give you whuffie too, for all sorts of different reasons. Maybe you picked up some trash on the sidewalk, or you gave a dollar to a charity, or you helped a stranger find their way when they were lost. All of these things could earn you some whuffie because they are ways of being helpful and kind.

You can also give whuffie to others when they do something nice for you, or when you notice that they are being helpful or kind. This helps to build a community of people who are all rewarded for doing good things, and encourages everyone to keep being nice to each other.

Overall, whuffie is just a way of keeping track of good deeds and positive actions. It doesn't have any actual value, but it's still a nice thing to receive and gives us a way of recognizing and appreciating the kindness in ourselves and others.
