Wind power

Wind power is the process of using the wind to generate electricity. The wind can be used to turn a big fan called a turbine, which then spins a generator to turn wind energy into electrical energy. To make this happen, people build big wind turbines in places with a lot of wind like near the ocean or on top of a hill. The electricity from the wind turbines is then put on the power grid and used to power our homes and businesses. Wind is a clean energy source, which means it doesn't pollute the air or water like other energy sources.
