Wolf-whistling

Wolf-whistling is when someone makes a high pitched sound by pursing their lips and blowing air out quickly, usually to get someone's attention or show appreciation for how that person looks. It's like making the sound of a whistle, but with your mouth instead of a real whistle.

Sometimes people wolf whistle at women. This is not nice because it makes them feel uncomfortable or objectified. It's like when you don't like it when someone stares at you too much, except wolf-whistling is even more noticeable and it can make you feel like a piece of meat instead of a person. And just like you wouldn't want someone to make you feel that way, it's important to respect other people and their feelings.
