Workers' compensation

Workers' compensation is a program that some states have that helps people who get hurt at work. It means that if you get hurt at work, the state (with help from your employer) will pay for your medical bills and even give you some extra money for not being able to work. If you get permanently hurt, you may even get money for the rest of your life! Workers' compensation is there to make sure that if something bad happens to you, you won't lose too much money.
