ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Living wage

A living wage is the minimum amount of money a person needs to make working full time so they can afford basic necessities like rent, food and transportation. The idea is that the wage should be high enough to allow people to live and support themselves and their families without relying on public assistance. A living wage is usually set by governments and should be higher than the minimum wage which is the legal minimum a person can be paid for a job.
