Worse is better

Or, you can build a tower that's not perfect at first, but keep adding blocks to make it taller and taller, until it's even taller than the perfect tower would have been.

In this example, the second way is "worse is better." Even though the tower wasn't perfect at first, by adding more blocks it ended up being better than the perfect one would have been.

Another example is with technology. Sometimes, a piece of technology doesn't have to have all the fancy features or be the most advanced to be better. It can be better if it's simpler, cheaper, or easier to use, even if it's not the most advanced or perfect.

So, "worse is better" means that sometimes simpler, imperfect things can actually be better in the long run than things that are perfect or complete from the start.
