Satisficing is a decision-making strategy. It means trying to find options that are “good enough,” instead of looking for the best possible outcome. Sometimes it’s hard to make a decision when there are a lot of choices, so satisficing helps you find the best option quickly. To satisfice, you look at all the different possibilities and pick the first one that meets a certain standard or goal. It’s like shopping for clothes – if you wanted a black dress, the first dress you find that is black and fits you well is a good choice and you don’t have to look for a better one.
