So when the x-rays go through your body, they create an image that shows the different parts of your body - like your bones - and whether they're okay or if there's something wrong with them.
That's why when you go to the doctor and they want to check if you broke a bone or if you have something like pneumonia, they might use an x-ray machine to take a look inside your body.
