Xanthochromism

Xanthochromism is when a person or animal has yellow or orange colored skin or fur instead of the usual color. This happens because the person or animal doesn't have enough of a certain kind of pigment called melanin. Melanin is what gives people and animals their normal skin, hair, and eye colors. People with xanthochromism have less melanin than usual, so they appear to be yellow or orange.
