ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Xenocentrism

Xenocentrism is when someone believes that foreign or outside things are better than their own. It could be anything from food, art, or even people. It means that someone likely prefers the things from outside of their own home more than the things from their own home. For example, if you live in America and you are xenocentric, you might prefer watching movies from Japan because you think they are more interesting or better than American movies.
