Advertisement

Advertising is when people or companies try to tell other people about something they want them to buy, use, or know. This is usually done by making videos, pictures, or speeches that explain why something is special or helpful.

For example, if someone is selling a new toy, they might create an advertisement that shows kids having fun with the toy and encourage parents to buy it for their own kids so they can have fun too. Sometimes, advertisements try to make people feel like they need something even if they don't really need it.

Advertisements can be seen on TV, on the internet, in newspapers or magazines, and even on billboards along the road. They are all around us, and sometimes they are more effective than we realize in making us want to buy or try something.
