Airborne diseases are sicknesses that can spread from one person to another through tiny germs called "germs." When someone with an airborne disease coughs, sneezes, talks, or even breathes, these germs can float in the air and can be inhaled by another person, making them sick too. Just like how you can catch a cold from someone who sneezes on you, you can also catch an airborne disease just by being close to someone who is sick. That's why it's important to cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough, and to wash your hands frequently to help prevent the spread of germs that could lead to airborne diseases. Common airborne diseases include influenza, tuberculosis, measles, and chickenpox.
