Amateur

Okay kiddo, have you ever tried doing something new that you're not very good at yet? That's called being an amateur! It just means you're still learning and practicing to get better at something. For example, if you start playing soccer for the first time, you're an amateur soccer player because you haven't played for a long time yet. It's okay to be an amateur at something because everyone starts out that way. With enough practice, you can become really good at it!
