American War of Independence
The American War of Independence was a very important event in history. It happened a very long time ago and it was a war between the people who lived in America and the people who lived in England. The people who lived in America wanted to be free and independent. They wanted to have their own government instead of being ruled by England. The people who lived in England, however, did not want to let the people in America be free and so they fought a war to try and keep them under their rule. The people in America eventually won the war and were able to create their own government, the United States of America. This was very important because it was the first time that people in America were able to choose their own government and live independently of England.
